Projet parallèle de Tony Chauvin, guitariste de Chevreuil (duo guitare batterie déjà culte ayant initié les concerts hors scène et la spatialisation de la musique via la quadriphonie de la guitare depuis 1998), accompagné par le batteur/saxophoniste Ti Yann Février.
Après les albums 'Viescolaire' en 2005 et 'Dormir Sommeil!' en 2007, le spectacle / installation
"axes" en collaboration avec le graphiste Laurent Chomette en 2009, mais aussi les compositions de la musique des spectacles de danse contemporaine "Comme en plein jour" (2006) et "Qu'après en être revenu" (2010) de Jean-Baptiste André .
2013, voici le nouvel album de Percevalmusic: "Recueil Du Mal".
Ici, le procédé de composition s'appuie toujours autour de cette guitare quadriphonique qui entoure la batterie avec toujours cette grandeur éloquente, cette complexité et ces méandres.
Elle emporte le spectateur dans une performance musicale où se côtoient acoustique et électrique, finesse et brutalité, stabilité et chaos.
Comme serait une anti musique de chambre aristocratique, architecturale et organique, qui en associant la force du rock et la finesse de la tradition classique évoquerait un groupe progressif plongé dans notre contemporanéité.
Biography
Side project of Tony Chauvin, guitar player of Chevreuil (the cult guitar / drums duo that has initiated playing in the audience and music spatialization via guitar quadraphony since 1998), with the presence of Ti Yann Février, a saxophone player and drummer.
After two albums, ‘Vie scolaire’ in 2005 and ‘Dormir Sommeil’ in 2007, followed by ‘Axes’ in 2009, a show/installation in association with Laurent Chomette, also the compositions of the music for ‘Comme en plein jour’ (2008) and ‘Qu’après en être revenue’ (2010), two contemporary choregraphies by Jean-Baptiste André, here’s in 2013 ‘Recueil du Mal’, the new Percevalmusic album.
There, the composition method is still based on this quadraphonic guitar surrounding the drums with the same eloquent depth and intricate windings.
It carries the spectator into a music performance in-between acoustic and electric, carefulness and brutality, stability and chaos.
Like some kind of anti-aristocratic, architectural and organic chamber music, that, by mixing the power of rock and the precision of classical tradition, would evoke a contemporary prog-rock band of the 70’s.
